Oruro Weather, Climate & Forecast

Oruro lies at an elevation of about 3706 meters (12,158 feet) above sea level in the Andean Mountain range. Therefore, due too its high altitude, it can get windy and weather conditions can get quite chilly in Oruro.

Like the rest of Bolivia, Oruro lies in the southern hemisphere, therefore the seasons are opposite compared to the northern hemisphere. The summer months in Oruro are from November through March. The summer usually sees the most amount of rainfall and is warmer.

The winter months are from April through October and are typically cooler, where night time temperatures combined with cool winds can bring the temperature down to below 0° C.
