Oruro Restaurants

"Places to eat in Oruro, Bolivia"


There is a descent selection of Oruro restaurants for lunch and dinner. Most places in Oruro don't open until mid-morning, so for an early breakfast go to the to the center of Mercado Campero, where you can find juices, pastels, coffee, and more. You can find some good restaurants in Oruro at cheap prices. (See below for recommended places to eat)


Govindas
If your looking for something healthy and something other than meat try this vegetarian restaurant. They serve fruit, fresh vegetarian meals and pastas.

Bravo's Pizza
Kid friendly place that serves a variety of good pizza. Restaurant also serves breakfast.

Location: On Calle Bolivar, between 6 de Octubre and Ave. Potosi


EL Fogon
Specializes in all kinds of meats here, they prepare just about every part of the animal, very good if you are a meat lover.

Location: Avenida Brasil 5021, near bus terminal


La Cabaña Restaurant
Attractive restaurant that serves some of the best steaks in Oruro at a fairly decent price. They also serve pastas and other dishes. Restaurant has a giant TV screen that usually features futball games.

Location: Calle Santa Junín #609


La Casona
Great little eatery, that sells salteñas, pizza, and sandwiches for a quick lunch or snack.

Location: Ave. Presidente Montes #5970, near the main plaza & post office


Nayjama
One of the best restaurants in the city for some great tasting traditional Oruro food at a reasonable price. On the menu you'll find roast lamb, fish, steaks and vegetarian food.

Location: Calle Pagador & Aldana, one block from train station


Ametauna Restaurant
Good food with cheap prices. Lunch includes soup, rice, salads, veggies, meats and a lot more.

Location: Calle Sonia Glavarro #1367


SUM Confiteria
Good cafe to go for a quick snack or lunch. Coffee, juices, ice cream, salteñas, ect.

Location: Bolívar #615, just off the main plaza - Plaza 10 de Febrero
