Oruro Nightlife & Entertainment

Oruro's nightlife is very low-key for most of the year, however during the carnival, Oruro's nightlife comes alive. The majority of the bars, pubs, discos and karaokes are around the city center and Avenida 6 de Agosto. (See below)

Brujas
One of the more popular late night hangouts in Oruro to dance and drink the night away.

Location: Ave. 6 de Agosto & Calle Junín

Pub the Alpaca
European-style pub, popular among tourists and backpackers. Good atmosphere with a variety of mixed drinks and beers. The pub is open from Thursday-Saturday, usually at 8:30pm-late. Owners speak English and the pub also offers accommodations (See hotels in Oruro).

Location: Ave. La Paz 690, near Plaza Ranchería

Palais Cinema
Located in a colonial concert hall building on Plaza 10 de Febrero. Great place to see a movie for around $1.50 (12 Bolivianos).
