What is one of the best things about Bolivia?

The Bolivians. Their love of life and their love for the culture of Bolivia. They enjoy sharing in conversations, sharing good food, listening to music, and dancing. They know how to have fun, and they want you to have fun with them.

Bolivians are warm and outgoing. Upon meeting, men shake hands while women kiss cheeks to greet each other and to say goodbye.

Family is of primary importance. Extended family members get together almost on a daily basis. Bolivians all like to go to the airport early to meet or greet family members when they are arriving or leaving.

Their hospitality is boundless. Tell them what you wish for and they'll arrange it. They love and enjoy giving presents even if they don't have a lot to give.

In any interaction with Bolivians and their sense of time becomes apparent. They live in the present, and don't take schedules very seriously.

The main meal of the day is at about 1:00 PM. The evening meal begins at 9:00 or 10:00 PM or even later. Bolivians love to throw a party at the slightest excuse. A social event might start at midnight, and go on until the early hours of the morning.
