Condoriri

Condoriri - La Paz, Bolivia - South America mountain climbing

Condoriri is group of mountain peaks in the Cordillera Real mountain range in Bolivia, South America. Condoriri is well know to climbers as offering some of the best scenery in Bolivia and plenty of peaks to climb, varying from moderate to extremely difficult.

It is named Condoriri because the group of mountain peaks resemble a condor with its wings and head in the middle (hence the name). The main summit is the "head" of the condor. Condoriri is a beautiful and popular peak for mountain climbers that is north of La Paz, Bolivia.

Many of these peaks reach an elevation of well over 5,000 meters (16,400 feet) and will leave you gasping for breath every step you take. If you plan on climbing these mountains it is a good idea to make sure you are in good physical condition and have acclimatized to the altitude in La Paz first, before you set out on the journey.

If you are not into mountain climbing you can get a closer look at these mountain peaks by hiking to Lake Chiarkota, which is a is a lovely natural lake where you can stay to enjoy the scenery and take some amazing photos. Lake Chairkota is used as a base camp for mountaineers to explore the Condoriri peaks and nearby mountains.
