Cochabamba Weather, Climate & Forecast

Cochabamba, Bolivia is known as the "City of Eternal Spring", due to its spring-like temperatures year round, with an average year round temp. of 19°C (66°F). The climate is considered the most comfortable in all of Bolivia, with warm and sunny days and cool nights.

The city lies in the heart of Bolivia and is located in a valley surrounded by the lower Andean Mountain range. The city sits at an elevation of 2,550 meters (8,366 ft.) above sea level.

Like the rest of Bolivia, Cochabamba lies in the southern hemisphere, therefore the seasons are opposite compared to the northern hemisphere. The summer months in Cochabamba are from November through March. The summer usually sees the most amount of rainfall and is warmer. The winter months are from April through October and are typically cooler in Cochabamba.
