Hostels Budget - Places to Stay

Hostal Florida
Good location between the bus terminal and Plaza 14 de Septiembre. Friendly service. Rooms are basic and bathrooms are shared and sometimes don't have hot water. Hostel charges 30 bolivianoes ($4) per person per night.

Alojamiento Cochabamba
Near the bus station, one of the nicest of the budget hostels with basic rooms and shared bathrooms. Hot water available only in the mornings.

Residencial Familiar
Set in a charming old building, built around a unique patio, complete with nude sculpture in the fountain. The downside is that the mattresses are fairly thin.

Mid-Range - Places to Stay

City Hotel
This clean and centrally located hotel is a good choice. Staff is friendly. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Rooms range between $12-$20 without bathroom and rooms with shared bathrooms range from $22-$30 per night.

La Corona Aparthotel
A newer hotel built in 2001. This place is clean and offers a great value, with spacious rooms ranging from $35-$50 per night and includes breakfast.

High-Range - Places to Stay

Hotel Portales
This 4-star hostel is located in the wealthy Recoleta district. Average room rate range from $75-$95/night. The hotel features a restaurant, bar, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, tennis courts, etc.

Hotel Diplomat
A 4-star hotel located on El Prado. This fourteen-story hotel is considered an icon of the downtown. It provides guests with a great location, within walking distance to the city center. Average room rate is $70/night. Rooms are nice with comfortable beds and cable TV, bilingual staff, money exchange and free internet in the business center. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar.

Monserrat Hotel
Hotel is located in a renovated historic building that opened in 2006. It's near all of the eating and café scene but is a quiet, relaxing retreat, built around a shady courtyard. The rooms and beds are comfortable and nicely decorated.
