The Bolivia population is 9,119,152 (July 2007 est.), with an average annual growth rate of around 2%.

Though Bolivia is one of the least populated countries in South America the country's population has tripled since 1950. If current annual growth rate continues, the population of Bolivia will likely exceed 10 million by 2012 and double its current size by 2050.

Currently about 65 percent of Bolivia's population reside in urban locations such as La Paz, Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, Sucre, Oruro Tarija, Potosi and other large cities.
